James A. Sage (of counsel) has practiced law in Duluth since 1979. His areas of emphasis are personal injury law, including admiralty claims under the Jones Act, and Federal Longshore claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.

Mr.Sage has taught as Adjunct Professor of Admiralty and Maritime Law at the William Mitchell College of Law.

He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, in Speech Pathology and Audiology, and then earned his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law.

Mr. Sage is admitted to practice in front of the Supreme Court of Minnesota, the Supreme Court of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court, 5th Division, the U.S. 8th Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court, Western District of Wisconsin, and the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jim's other interests include automobile restoration, blacksmithing, and offshore yacht racing.
